Why book through a travel advisor vs online?

When you book online you never know what you are going to get. Tracy Collier gets to know and understands a client’s travel style, expectations and preferences. She wants clients to know exactly what they are getting everytime. Through insider knowledge and industry partners, reservations receive preferred treatment so that there are no surprises.


Do you charge fees for your services?

As with most travel advisors, a planning fee is charged. This fee is on a case-by-case basis and depends on the needs of a trip. If a fee will be assessed this will be communicated to you during the discover call.


What is your specialty?

Tracy Collier Travel’s specialty is the client. Tracy loves to travel and has been to over 10 different Caribbean island, many locations throughout Mexico, over 8 countries in Europe and has cruised frequently. However, Tracy has access and relationships to partners around the world, so no destination is off limits.


Do you only do larger trips?

Tracy loves planning the vacation a client has been dreaming about, but she also understands that sometimes a simple hotel room or quick weekend get-away is all that is needed, and she is happy to assist with either.  The goal is to make travel stress free so that her clients can focus on the moment.

What if i want to help with the planning of the trip?

Tracy’s goal is to make travel planning stress free, however, she knows that many like to be involved in the process. Tracy loves to collaborate and welcomes her clients help with as much or as little as they feel comfortable. After all, a client’s trip is designed specifically for them and for some the planning is as much fun as the actual vacation.


I already know what hotel i want to book? Can you still help?

Yes. By booking with Tracy Collier Travel, Tracy will be able to provide access to additional amenities at the hotel during your stay that are unavailable to you when booking direct. Examples of such amenities include, early check-in/late check out, breakfast for two daily, $100 resort credit and room upgrade upon arrival.


do you book vrbo or airbnb?

No, Tracy does not work with VRBO or AirBNB, however, she does have a great network of villa and rental home options that she would be more than happy to recommend and book.


Can you book airfare?

Yes, Brownell has an air desk that will book airfare for clients. Tracy can work directly with the air desk to book flights. The Brownell air desk will assist if a flight is delayed or canceled and will re-book you on the next available flight. Tracy and Brownell also have a 24-hour emergency service desk for any issues outside of normal business hours.

Air desk fees:

$50/ticket for domestic, Mexico, Canada and Caribbean (excluding Cuba) with a $200 max per family (family on the same record/flight)

$100/ticket for international and Cuba with a $400 max per family (family on the same record/flight)


Do you recommend travel insurance?

Yes! Tracy always recommends purchasing travel insurance. Travel is expensive and it’s important to protect your investment. Life can be unpredictable and you never know when you may have to cancel or postpone a trip for an unforeseen circumstance. Brownell has an insurance desk that will find the best policy and rate for a trip.

What if i run into an issue while i am traveling?

If you run into any issues while traveling, please reach out immediately and Tracy will do whatever she can to help. Before you leave, she will make sure that you have all contacts for hotels, tour guides etc.
